Safe Room Installation
Q. Can I install an underground Safe Room in a post-tension Slab?
A. Yes
Q. How can I tell if I have a post tension slab?
A. If you know what year your home was built and/or which builder was used, we may be able to help you over the phone. If we are unable to find your address in our database, we can send someone to your home to do a cable locate. The cost is $80.00 in the Tulsa area.
Q. What is the procedure to install an in-ground safe room in a post-tension slab?
A. Our crew will come out around 8:00 am and cut a hole in the slab where your storm shelter will be (down to where the cables are exposed), release the tension on the cables, add new hardware to the cable ends, and pour a thickend edge around the hole. After 7 days, we return to re-stress the tendons that were cut for the storm shelter. After this, the storm shelter company may come and install your new shelter.
Q. Are there any concerns with installing an above-ground safe room on a post-tension slab?
A. No, But the cables will have to be located and marked.
Q. Can you locate and mark existing post tension tendons?
A. Yes, we use a metal detector to locate the cables.
Q. Do I need a permit?
A. Some cities do require a permit. Check with your city to determine whether a permit is needed.

A. It is an all-inclusive bid which includes all materials, labor, and equipment. It literally means the owner just has to "turn the key to the front door"

A. Most individuals do not have the expertise or the ability to manage all the different steps required in constructing their own foundation and slab. We have engineers and technicians with 20-plus years of experience capable of simplifying this process for you.

A. Currently, we are the only company offering a complete turn-key project in the residential market. Our prices are very competitive once a proper comparison is done.
Q. What do I need to do in order to receive a quote for my foundation and slab?
A. We will need a copy of a floor plan and a site plan in order to quote the project accurately.
Q. How long does it normally take to get the work completed?
A. A typical residential foundation and slab takes about 5 days to complete.
Q. How many years of experience do you have doing this type of work?
A. We have been doing turn-key construction for over 20 years in the Tulsa area.
Q. What is your service area for turn-key services?
A. Most of our projects are within 60 miles of Tulsa, we will travel further if necessary.

Q.. How do I get started if I decide I would like a Post-tension slab?
A. The floor plan for your your project is all we need to get started.
Q. What is the price for a post-tension slab?
A. The price varies depending on the size, the angles, and the location. Call the office for a quote.
Q. What is the difference between rebar and post-tension?
A. Rebar is passive reinforcement, meaning it just sits in your slab. Post-tension is active reinforcement, meaning that it is constantly under tension.
Q. What is the turn around time to get my post-tension design?
A. The turn around time to get your Stresscon post-tension design is usually 2 - 7 business days.
Q. How much notice do I need to give before having my cables delivered?
A. We like to have at least 2 business days to get your cables cut and delivered to your job site.
Q. Do you install?
A. Yes. We will provide a quote with the design that includes an alternate installation price.
Q. Does your price include stressing the cables?
A. Yes.
